The Warrior Group Revealed
The latest chapter finished on a major cliffhanger and introduced the initial group of heroes who will branch out from the central cast to undertake their independent quest, separate from the other two tables.
The combat-focused team features Teor (played by Travis), the nimble rogue (the talented performer), the strong-willed figure (Whitney), Wicander (Sam Riegel), and the mysterious adventurer (Robbie).
Dividing the Cast
With a large ensemble, it was obvious from the start that maintaining everyone at one table would be unworkable.
That’s why, the opening chapters of this story serve as an Overture, intertwining the personal journeys before splitting into three separate parties: Soldiers, Strategists, and Explorers.
What Defines the Combat Party
As described by the Dungeon Master, the Soldiers table is for adventurers who enjoy a typically action-packed fight-heavy story mode where non-violent answers are few and far between.
Initially, characters like the squeamish cleric the cleric might look unsuited, but the events of the latest installment make it clear why these specific adventurers are perfectly fit for the combat party.
Why They Must Go
First, the team understands precisely where to proceed after a brutal first encounter with the antagonists.
A former ally of Thjazi Fang—whose demise started the story’s plot—exploited the foes for his personal gain, breaking into Thjazi’s hideout, assaulting the character, and stealing all the magical artifacts to sell off.
The antagonist then cleared his debts and ran away to a fortified location in the remote area, above the city, with Cyd close behind.
Individual Reasons
Additionally, each member has a specific drive to leave the city the urban setting:
- The agile hero, as Thjazi’s partner and best friend, wants revenge.
- The adventurer knows the region and cautions that it is a hostile environment.
- Tyranny and Wicander, having resisted his house’s orders to eliminate Teor and instead rescued him, have nowhere else to go.
- Yet, their reputation as key figures in House Halovar could enable the team access locations they normally couldn’t.
- Additionally, The grateful character vowed a life debt to The savior for his salvation and will now follow him everywhere.
Pursued by Authorities
Lastly, all of them are wanted by the rulers that govern the city for a multiple motives, making remaining behind too risky:
- The agile adventurer and Kattigan are notorious outlaws.
- The warrior and Wicander turned against House Halovar and the army of fiends they are aligned with.
- The target is targeted for elimination by the clan.
This leaves them few options but to head to the northern region in pursuit of Casimir.
What’s Next?
Based on the latest episode’s Cooldown, we discover that the Soldiers table will not appear the following episode, leaving the remaining eight players to form the Explorers and Strategists parties.
Audiences can look forward to learning which characters will be assigned to which table in the story’s final introductory chapter, released on next week.
